{Fall Pattern Showcase}
When Becca of Free Notion posted about a Fall Pattern Showcase, I knew that I just had to participate...well, I am a little obsessed with blog tours too, but that's neither here nor there! You say "fall" and I am all over it. It is my favorite season and the time of the year that I get to start wearing boots, scarves, sip on a Pumpkin Spice Latte...need I say more? Since I am in TX, fall and winter seriously mesh together into one season, with probably won't actually be here for another month or so, but it's so worth the wait.
Moving right along. When think of what a wardrobe staple would be for fall layering, I think of an over-sized sweater or cardigan that goes with everything...actually I would rather just wear a hoodie, but those are not always so attractive. In picking my pattern, I decided to step out of the box a little bit and find something that would also go with many outfits, but wasn't so easy, and decided on the Summer Kimono from Patterns for Pirates. Summer you say? This baby is not just for summer y'all!
I can really see the Summer Kimono being paired with so many things. I wish that I could have shown it paired with a few different outfits, but I don't have too many pieces for my capsule sewn up yet, so I will leave it to your imagination and will post an update those later on. I chose to pair it with a tee underneath and some skinny jeans with a skinny belt under my bust to give it a little more shape. I just LOVE this look...belts..who knew that they were for more than just belt loops!?! Anyone...anyone...Bueller???
Anywho, I am really loving this Kimono and think that I might just have to make a few more (or at least one exclusively for sleeping). I totally have worn it to bed the past few nights because it is so comfy and flowy...and comfy.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and make sure that you follow along with the Fall Pattern Showcase each week!

You look INCREDIBLE! This would be seriously great with skinnies, boots, and a long sleeve LMU underneath :D
ReplyDeleteYes! I was thinking a long sleeve would be great with it as well :) I didn't dare try right now though considering it is still 100 degrees here :(
DeleteYou look gorgeous! I love this color on you and it looks great belted.
ReplyDeleteLove this look! The Kimono from P4P is so comfy! :)
ReplyDeleteIt really is...I have barely taken it off the past few days other than to wash it.
