{Sunday Lately} Week 42
A day late and a dollar short...better late than never right?! What have you been up to this week?
This week's themes: Doing, Appreciating, Designing, Humming, Expecting
Doing: I have a few pattern tests that I have been working on this week. One of them just released [Telluride Henley from Terra's Treasures] and I am really loving how simple that you can go on this one and wear everyday. It is so comfortable that I actually ended wearing it to bed one day.
Appreciating: This week in homeschooling went REALLY well. Homeschooling is one of those things that you really just need to attack day by day. Was yesterday rough? Start today a new, and don't look back on tomorrow. We have had many struggles with schooling, so I am appreciating the fact that we were able to work though it flawlessly this week. What a blessing for mama ;)
Designing: I did a bit of work on our Halloween costumes for this year. Hubby wanted to be Beetlejuice, so we practiced a bit with his makeup this week. There are a few things that I need to tweak, but overall I am really happy with the result. I love playing around with costume makeup! I have still been pondering a bit on the kids costumes and how I am going to tackle them, but I think that I finally have the design plan down. I suppose that I need to work on that this week. The boys will be Ice Mario & Luigi and my daughter will be Ice Princess (not to be confused with Elsa).
Humming: I actually pulled out my old CD's this week and jammed out to some music from high school. It was nice to reminisce a bit about the carefree days, but I wouldn't trade them for anything. I am also loving listening to my favorite country station on Pandora.
Expecting: I have a bit of sewing that I am wanting to get done this week, including some unfinished products for others, testing, and Halloween costumes. Praying for a good sewing week and another great week in school. And, I just had to share what happened to me this week. My sewing buddies would understand. The wheel of my rolling chair popped off because I had SO much thread caught in there that I could no longer roll. HAHA! I pulled out all the threads and popped it back on, but I couldn't believe how much was in there. I really need to clean all the other wheels now!
