{Canyon Cardigan} From Love Notions
Let me get a show of hands...who is ready for Fall?!?! Well, I know that I am. We had about a month of weather that was incredibly hot, however expected for Texas. In the grand scheme of things though, I would consider this summer quite mild. We had gotten a LOT of rain this year, which I believe has contributed to that. As, I am sure it is for a big group of people, fall is my absolute FAVORITE time of this year. Not only the weather, but the clothing. Pretty scarves, jeans, boots....and now, thanks to Tami from Love Notions, I have THE PERFECT cardigan to wear as well!
I don't recall if I have mentioned it before, but I have been blessed to be a part of Tami's Promo Group which means that I am compensated for testing her patterns. I have, and always will give my very honest opinion regardless. Being part of this special group enables me to continue testing and sharing all of my fun makes with y'all...and maybe a little extra fabric in my stash! I have been testing for Tami for a year and a half now because I just adore all of her patterns and the LOVE that she puts into each and every one of them. This post also contains affiliate links.
Which brings me to the topic at hand today. Love Notions just released the Canyon Cardigan, and I can already tell you that it is going to be my absolute favorite pattern to bring us from summer to fall. The Canyon Cardigan features three different views, including a-line, gathered, and waterfall. From the moment I saw the line drawings, I knew that I needed one with the waterfall option. I have a cardigan that I purchased years ago that was similar and I wore it all the time. It was the perfect wardrobe staple.
The Canyon Cardigan also has three sleeve lengths; vest, 3/4, long. Being that I am in Texas and it is still quite warm, I opted for the vest. I figured that it will still be great even when it starts to cool off a bit. I can layer it with a simple long sleeved tee and run out the door. Because I wanted everyone to know just how versatile this piece really is, I wanted to feature it three different ways. I raided my closet and put together three different outfits that really cover almost every style.
First up, I paired some of my Summer Caye Palazzo pants with a simple tank. I feel a little Bohemian in this, and I LOVE it! I felt so incredibly comfortable...almost as comfy as pjs....GASP!
For this look, I was going for a super casual look. I loved dressing it down with some skinny jeans, sneakers, and another simple tank underneath. Once again...cute and comfy!
For the last look, I wanted to dress it up a bit more. I paired it with my Laundry Day Tee Dress I made a while back, and it was the perfect length. The two of them seem to mesh very well together.
As always, I am just smitten with this new release! I must say, what I love most about the Canyon Cardigan waterfall option is how well it hides the mom tummy...well...at least it brings focus away from it. It is very flattering for plus sizes in my opinion, and I am excited to try some of the other views. Once again, there is no lack of options included, so you are getting a great deal here. Two other options that are included that I didn't mention are elbow patches (who doesn't love those) and in-seam pockets.
Be sure to grab it on sale through September 1st...no coupon needed!

Fabulous times 3, Courtney! Love the palazzos!
ReplyDeleteI love how it looks over the blue dress, lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love how it drapes. Going to have to check this one out.
ReplyDeleteUh oh! I live in Florida and I've already made the version with sleeves (for A/C chilliness), but I didn't think I needed the sleeveless one. I'm admiring how your looks here show how much polish it adds to simple separates.
